Normally, they would check for eavesdroppers by disclosing some bits of the shared secret key. The no-cloning theorem ensures the eventual detection of any such eavesdropper. However, they have forgotten today, and the normal physics do not apply. Good luck finding their shared secret key! Alternatively, you might just be able to brute-force their encryption scheme.
